What’s in it
- Name, email and profession: engineer, architect, landscape architect, land surveyor or interior designer.
- License type, state, number and discipline: PE, SE, RA, PLA, PLS and so on, one row per state license.
- Issued, expires and status: dates as you’d write them.
- CE hours earned and CE period ends: a running count for your own use. SealBench counts CE from a course log instead, so its roster import reads the license columns and leaves these two alone.
- Notes: anything else, such as a comity application in progress.
The two sample rows are made up; replace them with your own. Keep firm COAs in a separate sheet (state, number, expiration and the qualifying person), since a firm isn’t a person.
Where a spreadsheet stops
A spreadsheet holds what someone types. It doesn’t know each state’s CE rule, doesn’t remind anyone, doesn’t connect a firm COA to the people it depends on, and can’t tell you who may seal a sheet. For one state and a handful of engineers, it can be enough. Past that, see how SealBench compares.
