A PE License Pro alternative for multi-state engineering firms

Both track licenses, firm COAs and CE for engineers, architects and their firms. PE License Pro is the broader tracker today: state renewal pages for each profession, license import from state boards in most states, and NCEES CPC import. SealBench costs less per person ($12 a month against $15 a seat) and adds two things built for firms that send permit sets into several states: Set Check, which shows who may seal each sheet, and COA qualifier tracking.

Where PE License Pro is stronger
- Board and NCEES imports. It lists license import from state boards in most states and NCEES CPC import. SealBench doesn’t look anything up on board sites or import from NCEES.
- Reminders today. It lists emails at 90, 60 and 30 days, then daily in the final week. SealBench’s reminders are coming soon.
- Coverage. CE rules for Puerto Rico and Guam as well as the states and DC, and state renewal pages for each profession.
- IT features. Single sign-on and a read-only API for larger firms.
Where SealBench is different
- Set Check. Set Check takes one permit set in one state and gives each sheet a suggested sealer, or the reason nobody on your roster can seal it: a license in the project’s state, the right discipline, a license still active on the issue date, and the firm’s COA. Architectural sheets need an architect. The answer is saved as a dated PDF record.
- COA qualifiers. Each COA knows the people it depends on and is flagged when one leaves or their license lapses; “what if this person leaves” shows every sheet, license and COA that would lose its only eligible sealer or qualifier.
- Price. $12 a month per licensed person against $15 a seat, with unlicensed office staff free.
- Messy spreadsheets. Bring the license spreadsheet you already keep, as it is. SealBench finds the header row under title rows, reads two-row headers and merged cells, and understands one row per license, a column per state, or a tab per state or per person.
